Humans tend to a baseline mood. For some, maybe, this baseline is at an acceptable height, I however believe that for most, this baseline is feeling miserable. If you have no clue what I am talking about right now, you are one of the lucky ones…
I’ve recently encountered a video concerning misery and potential future, where misery is curable. It was argued that the misery would take all the wrong feelings that nobody wants and all remaining would therefore be pleasant. Humans would gain a stronger mind clear of irrational views.
I beg to disagree. Life must feel shitty for us to have the will to try to change it. To chase a chimera in the form of satisfaction. A concept that doesn’t exist. Just as you can always feel shittier, you can also always feel better. Satisfaction is a sick joke created by people for people. We get seemingly close, feel a little bit better, see a better opportunity, get a bit closer, and so on until we die.
It is very unfortunate for some people to realize the endlessness of this. Because nothing good comes out of that. Because if you see the ridiculousness of human behavior, what are you going to do? Continue? Will you do something that has no value to you?
You are left with 3 options. Pretend, do nothing with your life, or end it.
Which of these options did I choose? Which are you choosing?
